Eka (एक) — Sanskrit for “one”.

One company. Two products. No unnecessary cloud.

Eka builds AI that works where you are — on your desk, in your bag, on your own computer — instead of somewhere far away on a server you’ll never see.

(01) The idea

The idea behind Eka

Most AI lives in someone else’s building. Eka builds the other kind: AI that sits on your desk, fits in your bag, runs on the computer you already own, and keeps working when the Wi-Fi doesn’t. One company. One idea. Done properly.

What Eka makes.

Buddie

The study companion that never goes online.

Buddie is a small white box with a screen, a camera and a push-to-talk button. Ask it a question and it answers — with every byte of the thinking happening inside the box.

(03) By the numbers

Small company. Real numbers.

  1. 1Founder

Who is also the CEO, the engineer, the designer and the support desk.

  2. 2Products shipping

Buddie, a study box that never goes online. Gullu, an AI pet that lives on your PC.

  3. 0Servers required

Both products work with the internet switched off. The cloud is optional, not a dependency.

  4. 445Holes in Buddie’s case

Ø2.25 mm, staggered, measured straight from the CAD file. It breathes; it does not phone home.

  5. 75Magic actions in Gullu

Fix grammar, explain errors, tidy files, research — from any app with Ctrl + Alt + Space.

  6. Application no.202621081025Patent application

Filed in India for Buddie. Paperwork: also built by hand.

(04) The workshop

From sketch to shipped.

  1. 01 · pencil · graph paper

    Sketch

Paper first. If it doesn’t make sense as a doodle, it won’t make sense as a product.

  2. 02 · 152 × 229 × 42 mm

    CAD

Every part modelled to the tenth of a millimetre. The case is the spec.

  3. 03 · 0.2 mm layers · PLA

    Print

Printed, sanded, printed again. The bin of failed prints is the real R&D budget.

  4. 04 · on-device · offline

    Code

Models squeezed onto small chips, until they answer fast enough to feel instant.

  5. 05 · then: v2

    Ship

Into a real bag, onto a real desk, used by real people. Then back to step one.

(05) Principles

How Eka builds.

  1. 01

    Local first

If it can run on the device, it runs on the device. The internet is an option, not a dependency.

  2. 02

    Built to be used

Shortcuts, push-to-talk buttons and plain answers. Not dashboards.

  3. 03

    Made by hand

From the 3D-printed case to the last keyboard shortcut, everything is designed and built in-house — which is to say, by the founder.
